Sitemap

Sitemap XML file is located by following URL:

https://www.yourjobboard.com/sitemap.xml

The Sitemaps protocol allows website owners to inform search engines about URLs on a website that are available for crawling. In fact it is a list of the pages on your website. Creating and submitting a Sitemap helps make sure that search engines know about all the pages on your site, including URLs that may not be discoverable by search engines’ normal crawling process.

Sitemap XML file is created by JobMount job board software automatically based on all static pages, jobs and landing pages. It is also automatically submitted to main Search Engines upon website going live.

You can setup presence and priority of static content pages via admin:

The term “Priority” essentially involves assigning a rating to the importance of a piece of content on your website. It is expressed as a numerical value ranging from 0 to 1, with one decimal digit. A priority value of zero signifies content of low importance that is outdated, unhelpful, or not regularly maintained. Conversely, a priority of one indicates that the content holds significant value for your website.

This scale can be generally represented as follows:

  • 0 – 0.3: This range is suitable for old news posts, obsolete guides, or pages that might no longer be relevant but are worth retaining rather than deleting, merging, or updating.
  • 0.4 – 0.7: Content falling within this range includes articles, blog posts, category pages, FAQs, and system pages. The majority of your website’s content typically falls into this category.
  • 0.8 – 1.0: Extremely crucial content, such as your homepage, major category pages, product pages, and subdomain indexes, should be assigned priority values in this range.
